Attack & Release

A great album reportedly written with Ike Turner in mind. Producer Danger Mouse is really on a roll these days and this album is on par with his other recent work. In fact the production on this record is better than his recent work with Gnarls Barkley and Beck.

Overall Sound:

8.00

Great sound quality, lots of low end with clear mids and highs. Album lends itself well to vinyl and it was clearly mastered by someone who knew what they were doing

Pressing Quality:

7.50

Very minor weave that isn't noticeable but creates some sound inbetween tracks on my turntable. Great, clean pressing. Audiophile quality without being 180 gram. Inner tracks have no noticeable distortion.

Vinyl Noise:

7.50

Very little noise, some minor inbetween track sound, very minimal.

Overall Artwork:

7.50

Nice gatefold with good packaging all around including thick cardboard stock for jacket and nice big pictures on the fold out.

Overall Extras:

8.50

Comes with lyric sheet and CD of album. Just right!
